UFMG Conservatório
were holding
free concerts every Wednesday lunchtime during semesters. The concert atrium
was right on the street, and I enjoyed performances by top musicians in the
state, performing against a background of noisy buses or torrential rain.
Some concert goers did get upset with the rain and turned in their seats to glare at it. I found it wonderful to sit so close and draw the beautiful movement of musicians lost in their music. They made love to their instruments and the background in the street was of no consequence. Painted from a movement study drawn at the concert. |
