Bananas in Brazil were sold in
hands. There were several kinds to choose from. My favourite were small ones
that reminded me of lemon delicious pudding.
There was a banana-arranger ,in the local fruit shop, in Rua Paraiba, who loved to sing. Usually it was something like Brazil on my mind. Even the cashier started singing as she weighed my onions. |
